About

REFramework.dev is an independent site built around one tool: REFramework, the mod loader and scripting framework that praydog created for Capcom’s RE Engine games. If you have ever tried to add VR support to Resident Evil 2, run a Lua script in Monster Hunter Rise, or figure out why your dinput8.dll is not loading, chances are you ended up here looking for an answer.

This site exists because the real documentation for REFramework is scattered across wikis, Discord threads, and comment sections. REFramework.dev pulls that knowledge into one place, with guides that are tested against actual games rather than copied from a changelog.

What is on this site

You will find the current release files with exact install steps, a working reference for the Lua scripting API and plugin system, fixes for the most common crashes and setup problems, and step by step guides written for specific games as they get solved.

Where this content comes from

Every guide here is written by someone who has actually installed REFramework on the game in question, hit the problem being described, and found a fix that worked. When a Capcom patch breaks compatibility, or a nightly build changes something, the relevant page gets updated instead of leaving outdated instructions live.

REFramework.dev is an independent community resource. It is not affiliated with praydog, Capcom, or any of the games covered on this site.
