Complete Guide: How to Uninstall Jenny Mod in Minecraft

The Jenny Mod is a third-party modification for Minecraft Java Edition that requires a mod loader such as Forge or Fabric. Uninstalling it involves removing the mod file and its associated configuration from the game installation folder.

Important: Before starting, close the Minecraft Launcher and exit the game completely. Do not attempt to remove mod files while Minecraft is running.

Step 1 Locate the .minecraft Folder

The Jenny Mod is stored within the Minecraft user data folder. The location depends on your operating system.

Windows

  1. Press Win and R to open the Run dialog.
  2. Type %appdata%\.minecraft and press Enter.

macOS

  1. Open Finder.
  2. Click Go in the menu bar.

Step 3 Remove Configuration Files

Many mods leave configuration or cache files even after deleting the main mod file. Removing these ensures a complete uninstall.

  1. Return to the main .minecraft folder.
  2. Open the config folder.
  3. Look for files or subfolders with names such as Jenny or SlipperyTum, which is the developer.
  4. Delete these files or folders. Avoid deleting the entire config folder, as it contains settings for other mods and the mod loader itself.

Step 4 Delete the Modded Profile (Optional)

If Forge or Fabric was installed solely for the Jenny Mod, you can remove the modded profile to revert to a clean vanilla Minecraft installation.

  1. Open the Minecraft Launcher.
  2. Go to the Installations tab.
  3. Locate the profile used for the Jenny Mod, usually named Forge or Fabric with the version number.
  4. Click the three dots next to the profile and select Delete.

This will safely remove the modded installation without affecting saved worlds.

Step 5 Load Your World

After removing the mod file, loading a world that previously had Jenny Mod content may show a warning about missing registry entries. This is normal. Confirm to load the world anyway. Minecraft will automatically discard missing mod content from the loaded chunks. For a full cleanup of world content, you may need to explore previously loaded chunks again.
